beautiful detroit, michigan. we've been hard at work putting some new music to tape, raiding itunes libraries, eating barbeque veggie chicken sandwiches, checking out burned-up buildings, visiting the mexican market, the huge indoor flea market, playing loud amps, tuning guitars, adjusting headphone levels, wasting time, watching planet earth on demand, playing line rider, eating sour patch kids, hitting drums, taking photos of piles of trash in the street, sleeping on the floor, washing dishes, watching metalocalypse, eating hickory roasted pistachios, waiting, listening to the rain fall, listening to the playback, examining drum tracks, watching crazy psychidelic 70's movies, adjusting knobs, trying every pedal, hearing country radio buzz in the background of guitar tracks, playing slide guitar, baritone guitar, 12 string guitar, tiny amps, huge amps, old whirlitzers, rhodes, software instruments, eating plenty of yogurt, distorted bass, roland space echos, shooting i zone film, buying records, listening to bullshit, talkin' whip, reverb, drinking coffee, drinking tea, drinking coke, and beer, getting hasstled by homeless people, writing lyrics, singing into expensive microphones, wasting time on the computer. only a couple of days left and a lot to do.
The songs sound great. We're still undecided as to what will happen with them, but we'll let you know when we figure it out.

19 March 2007
19 March 2007.
plans have been finalized. Vaux will be in Detroit from 23 April thru 06 May 2007 recording six to seven new songs. our good friend Chris Koltay has been kind enough to let us record at his studio, High Bias Recordings, for a very reasonable price. we're looking forward to spending some time in Detroit. that place is crazy. from the two story house covered in pennies, and the block of art houses to the abandoned high-rise, train station where bums kill each other. most importantly, we're very excited to be recording some new material. we're very happy with the way these new songs are turning out. we have a couple rockers .... and a couple different types. we can't wait to have them finished-up and ready to pass out.
Greg and Vaux.

Quick Update: we are hard at work putting together some new jams for all of you. we've got some rockers and some crooners. all of which have some potential. we can't wait to get them into your hands. there's just the small glitch of recording costs and distribution. so, we're working on that as well. we're doing all we can to set up some tours, so be patient, well be out again soon.

23 December 2006
Happy Holidays everyone.
We've finally dug ourselves out of the two plus feet of snow here in Denver, and we're excited for the new year. We're hoping to have some news to post soon. We're in the process of setting up tours and finding someone to release 'Beyond Virtue, Beyond Vice' in Europe.
During the month of January Adam will be in San Jose recording a RIDE THE BOOGIE record. We're all glad he's finally making it happen and looking forward to hearing what he, Glen and Kevin, and friends come up with. it's going to be damn good.
See you all soon.

15 December 2006. Vote VAUX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
14 December 2006.
Channel 93.3 is holding a "Hometown For The Holidays" contest. they chose 25 Denver bands. people voted. we made the top ten. the top three bands play at The Gothic on December 22nd and win some free studio time. vote for us, if you like. The sign-up for voting ends at 3 PM today (15th) but the voting goes on until the 20th. This is the direct link - http://www.ktcl.com/pages/contests_hometown.html
The process is a bit of a rash. you have to sign up for their music surveys, then they will send you and e-mail to vote. but, if Vaux wins we can record a few new songs for free. so, it's worth every effort.
Here's how you help:
Sign up for Channel 93.3 Music Surveys.
Dec. 14th-20th 5pm Rate the top 10 songs. Top 3 play the show. Sign up for music surveys by 3pm Dec. 15th to get the survey sent to you. It must be back by 4pm December 20th. Dec. 22nd Watch the bands perform at The Gothic. You won't know what band won 3rd and who won 1st 'til the bands hit the stage.
Thank you, Vaux

come out to the show tommorow here in Vegas at Jillian's. we haven't played here in a while. last time we did we almost got jumped by a promoter's thugs after we made him go to the ATM and withdraw our show gaurantee. don't mess with us, we'll fuck you up. love Vaux.
