8/4/2006 10:45:27 PM New York City!! Well without further ado, we're gettin' damn close to a new place I like to call home now. Tomorrow will be our New York show, although it's on Long Island and not directly in Manhattan, it'll do. At least it ain't on Randall's where every patron had to wear a bandana on their face to keep the radioactive dust outta their noses. And thank god the heat finally broke. I thought I was gonna pass out a couple shows in a row. And to be honest I've never seen Q have to lie down in the shade after a set. That tells you it's bad, because normally he can wear a jacket onstage and not even break a sweat. Me on the other hand, I start breathing and immediately sweat theough my shirts each morning on this bumpy road we call Warped Tour. See ya'll there. We played at 11:15 this morning. It really wasn't all that bad... We played one of b-sides "No Rebates" today and it felt nice. honestly couldn't hear a damn thing on stage, but such is life playing half the side of an amphitheater to a crowd of 1+10. So Indianapolis today... Detroit tomorrow... Our good ol' friend Laszlo better get his shit in gear 'cause we're payin' him a visit. Hope everyone out there in cyberworld is doin' a-okay. We ahd a lovely stay with Seth and his wife Joy, very close friends of the Smith family... Never have I seen a projection screen television from the deep end of a swimming pool. Needless to say, thanks to the two of you for letting us relax and letting me have two tall glasses of Canadian Whiskey. I needed that one. Cheers! 6/18/2006 1:06:52 PM warped concert day four Well here we are on the 4th show of the tour and already the brutality has begun to set in. It can be fun getting tan, not sleeping and eating fried goodies as often as possible but it can get grueling when you have to do it listening to music that was all meant for commericals. It seems they can sell cell phones, shoes, cars, motorcycles, sporting goods and condoms by having maybe 4 or 5 young white kids with two-tone hair that's either been flat-ironed or blown out like a JFK gunshot wound play some rock instruments poorly. But here's my real beef: I thought people came to music festivals to watch and enjoy music. Maybe grab some souveniers to remind themselves of the good time they had. However this year's tour is filled with something that I can't put my finger on. Not only has the age-group gotten younger that's being targeted for this year's tour but it seems like all these little tykes have gotten pretty greedy. The only thing they want is free shit. It doesn't matter what it is. It could be the fucking ebola virus in a used condom, but as long as it says free on it they'll take it. It's sad really. There are some good bands on this tour, but people don't watch them. Not enough people at least. Maybe tomorrow will be different than the rest of the shows. Either way VAUX will be up on stage playing our guts out to all of you or none of you. 6/9/2006 1:12:48 PM yea! greetings all.
